Life can change in the blink of an eye. One Saturday evening you could be sitting in a hotel room, with items sprawled across a bed in Toronto, and the next minute you could receive a call, and be on a flight to London. Just like that…things can change. Suddenly, you can go from a “delay,” to back in motion with little notice. Suddenly…just like that, the situation, the environment, and the location can change in a matter of hours. Though switching locations physically does require some effort, I would have to say that it doesn’t compare to what’s required of us mentally. I know I know, some of you are probably thinking, “Is she serious?” The whole travel thing; packing, going through airport security, finding a place to park, and flight delays etc, can all be quite tedious on the body. I would have to agree 100%, Lord knows I do, but I’m also considering the mental shift that’s required.
Therefore, the question at hand is… “How easy is it for you to make a “suddenly,” shift from an old mindset, to a new way of thinking on short notice?”
The upcoming endeavors may require more energy, creativity and dedication. What carried you through the last project, may not be enough to get you through the next. Putting on a “new” mindset isn’t as easy to pack as your favorite pair of shoes. Mental elevation and growth are a process- they require time and an enormous amount of effort on our part too. All change (location, job, career path, etc.) requires one primary thing…more change. The shift won’t occur overnight, so we must make the decision to start now. If God has made it clear to you that new projects and ventures are heading your way, be prepared both physically and mentally to move quickly, so that you can successfully make the shift to complete the assignment given.
Do what it takes to make sure you are ready!!! Suddenly… may be just around the corner. The opportunity of a lifetime is only as good as the lifetime of the opportunity~
