Created For More…

When you read the phrase “created for more,” what initially comes to mind? For me…those words represent what I felt for a number of years in my adult life. I went from one industry to the next, looking for more. I can recall business endeavors where I reaped success, and others where not so much…but either way, none of the above ever brought much fulfillment in any way. So many individuals go through life, feeling just like I once did; living a mundane and monotonousness life, day in and day out. This was never God’s intention for us. He always meant for us to have…more. More of what you may be asking? Great question! Well… two different scriptures come to mind; John 10:10, which states -“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly, and Jeremiah 29:11, which says, For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.” Both of these verses remind me of not only the more that I was created for, but also provide hope for an abundant future. When a person discovers and walks in their intended purpose, they are walking out their more, and the abundance that was promised to them as a result. Until then, the thief of routine can steal our joy. So, to answer the initial question above, more is whatever it is that you were created for. This is going to differ from person to person, so it’s up to each of us to pursue the intended plan and live it. Take some time as this 2014 year comes to a close, to ponder on this. Ask why you were created, then purpose in your heart to do all that you can to fulfill the call. You will not only discover your more in the process, but also the abundant blessings that await you. A purpose filled life is certainly a rich (rich doesn’t just mean money) one. Happy discovering!
